How can I see which profile is assigned to a mobile device and how do I know what is supported on each device? The table in psb does not give any hint. What is the default profile? What are the different profiles that are provided out of the box with wierd names?

Mobile Security product doesn't support profiles at all. Freedome for Business is the only product supporting the profiles and their values you can see in the Profiles page Mobile devices tab.
Assigned profile for mobile devices can be seen in the device listing, when you change the category to "Central management".

I see. I had never even realised that category could mean somthing like this. It seems most category-selections just reiterate the same information, so perhaps a default category of "everything we know about this device" could be a nice option?
