PSB Computer Protection Setup : Could not validate the server certificate and create a secure connec

Hi guys. need a help and solution/guide regarding the problem that im facing. Im installing PSB, after install it appear message that i think it error messange "Could not validate the server certificate and create a secure connection to the services. Make sure that your Windows has the latest updates and try again".

 

Im installing PSB at Windows7 Professional. Windows has been fully updated but the problem still not resolve.  anyone can help me solve this problem?

    Hello @iacocca90

     

    Based on the error message, this most likely windows update are disabled or not installed program. Since you said the computer is already up to date and no latest updates are available.

     

    Typically, the F-secure program uses the Digicert Root CA which you can get download from this link and install it on your affect machine. Let's see if the helps to fix the issue.

     

    Moreover, DNS can also be the reason, so try using Google DNS 8.8.8.8 (and 8.8.4.4) and see if the issue still reproduce. You can check this by using ping to guts2.sp.f-secure.com if it times out, change to Google DNS.

    Could you possibly have a gateway-level firewall at the company which practices "MITM" type certificate falsification to be able to inspect HTTPS/TLS traffic contents for threats?

     

    Some software sense such attempts and refuse to communicate through "broken" HTTPS connections due to privacy reasons. (MITM based inspection is a highly controversial topic in IT security.)
