What is the recommended way to install SRS server serving Azure servers?
Should/can it be installed on Azure or can it be in a local or other hosted location?

    Hello TO3,

     

    In order to serve the clients efficiently, the SRS should be located as much close to the clients as possible. Ideally the solution works for virtual machines, where SRS is using the same internal virtual network as its clients.

    Ok that is then what we have thought.
    But does anuone know if some of the SRS offered images can be installed in Azure cloud?

    Hello TO3,

     

    Azure requires different image format, which is not currently available for released SRS. It is possible, that this support will be added in the new SRS version planned for Q3.

    adding this: moving SRS to Off-premiss will possibly be in conflict with GDPR!

    But it should be possible to convert an installed machine to an Azure image.
