Hi all!

We have finally the full blown release candidate of the new PSB portal available with the new profile editor. Main changes compared to old portal are:

- Everything is HTML5 based - also the profile editor. So no need for Java anymore.

- New company scope selector, more company focused model and  better task flows.

- More intuitive security management like handling of the profiles, polices and software patches.

- Support the new PSB Workstation Security 12.00 features like Web content control and Connection control.

To get started just

  1. Go to the new portal address,
  2. login with your existing PSB credentials,
  3. accept the beta agreement and
  4. start using it.

You can return to using old portal when ever you want. There is one "irreversible action": taking the new profile editor into use. This is a one time operation for each solution provider account and it will impact all companies under it in the same go. Once you have taken the new profile editor into use, all profile editing and assigning profiles operations are only possible from the new UI side.

As of today, all PSB1 - 4 have the release candidate available at:

So go try it out and start giving us feedback through this thread or through the feedback form within the new UI.

    Hi,

we have also release candidate versions of the new quick guides available for different user groups / use scenarios. They are HTML5 presentations, and you can download the actual PP slides by clicking ‘Resources’ on the top bar:

    Quick Start for Partners: https://reseller.f-secure.i-qbox.com/player2/index.aspx?LOID=896&lang=2

    • For new SoP and SeP customers

    Migration to New Portal: https://reseller.f-secure.i-qbox.com/player2/index.aspx?LOID=895&lang=2

    • For old SoP/SeP/company customers who have used the old portal before

Quick Start for Trial / Standard users: https://reseller.f-secure.i-qbox.com/player2/index.aspx?LOID=901&lang=2

    • For new standard and trial companies who have not used the old portal

All comments, suggestions, and error reports are welcome!

(As a note, Firefox seems to at times have trouble with loading images fully; reloading fixes this, but using Chrome, IE, or any other browser is recommendable)

    Thanks,

These slides are really useful - I can share some of the images with my admins before we migrate our profiles to the new portal.

    Dear Ben and Petri,

What is the situation with security of logins at the new PSB portal?

Is it possible to receive SMS or use RSA token, smartcard, one-time pad, fingerprint or iris scanner, quantum fiber link witnessed PKI or holographic avatars to add resilience to password-based authentication?

The password-only nature of old PSB portal logins deterred some potential customers from considering public web hosted cloud-based management.

Thanks in advance, Yours Sincerely: Tamas Feher, Hungary.

    Hi Tamas,

unfortunately this release does not yet contain any improvements to that part. There are plans to introduce e.g. 2 factor authentication later, but no schedule promises yet.

I would really like to see SAML integration, so we as a customer can use whatever 2 factor authentication method/provider we like Smiley Happy

PSB2 and PSB3 have been now also updated to release candidate versions.

So far we have received very little feedback from all of you. So please go try them out and let us know what you like and what you don't like.

This RC has today turned to a official release for everyone to use. You can find the new production links from the old portal login pages. Old beta links will also work for a while before we will take them down.

    Dear Sirs,

I think the new style PSB portal is faulty?

For example I use the search form in the "Devices" section to find a Win8 computer by name, recognize it in the results list and click on its icon (equal to the weblink: https://emea.psb.f-secure.com/#/c2922/devices/computer/1091698).
Then it jumps back to the portal's default page (Home - Overview of all companies) instead of showing the computer's properties! In the old style portal I am able to see the particular computer's details.

    Best regards: Tamas Feher.

    Hi Tamas!

thanks for reporting this. Does this happen to you often? Does refresh (F5) help when this happens? There is a certain condition when we've seen this happening but rarely - and refresh helps with it. There is bug about this reported to R&D. But not 100% sure this what you report is the same.

    Hello,

    What I observed is:

    - In the old portal, if a computer had PSB installed with valid keycode, it could be seen and managed from within the account even if it was not assigned to any company.

    - In the new portal, such computers are invisible and totally unmanageable. The only way to see them is to use the Search function, but as soon as you click on one in the search results, the web browser will jump back to the portal's main page.

I don't like this situation and I think it should be fixed.

    Thanks in advance, Yours Sincerely:

    Tamas Feher, Hungary.

    Hi Tamas,

new UI is made so that only subscriptions tied to companies show up as you had found out. We are bringing soon functionality to easily spot these subscriptions and make it possible to add them to companies. Similarly more functionality to work over company boundaries will be added, but currently our plan is not to bring these computer visible without being attached to a company.

    Dear Petrim

    Thanks for the answer!

I think the question and your response could be included in the "New PSB portal Feedback form related Q/A" topic?

Yours Sincerely: Tamas Feher, 2F 2000 Kft., Hungary.

    Dear Petri,

Please tell us if there has been any progress concerning 2-factor authentication or other beyond-passwords methods of login for the F-Secure PSB solution?

Every week there is some news about yet another 500 million passwords stolen and people are freaking out. Companies are asking about one-time pads and tokens and face recognition (which Microsoft is touting instead of fingerprints). Password-only PSB will soon become a dinosaur in a world ruled by unruly russian hackers!

Thanks for your kind attention, Yours Sincerely:

    Tamas Feher, Hungary.

I wonder if this fix has been implemented?

    Yours Sincerely: Tamas Feher, Hungary.
