Migration approach from F-Secure Workstation v11+ to Client Security 12

Hi,

As per subject line, Workstation is end of life later this year so was wondering what the best approach would be to migrate them to Client Security.  Could this be controlled through PMC or is it better to create an MSI of Client Security and then use Group Policy to uninstall Workstation and install Client Security?

Apologies if this is documented somewhere but just couldnt see it

Thanks in advance.

Al

    Hello alsimmo,

Both approaches are supported. It's up to you which to choose.

    Hello,

I don't think it is necessary to uninstall FSAV WKS, per se. The FSAV CS 12.00 installer package (either pushed or MSI/AD distributed) is supposed to sense the presence of FSAV WKS 10/11.xx on the endpoint and take care of that auto-magically.

Traditionally, all F-secure products on Windows handle version upgrades and product line side-grades without any hassle.
