Re: Windows Update - Server 2016 - Problem DeepGuard and Real-Time-Scanning
Tried the hotfix on two new deployed machines. One with hotfix, one without.
Server with hotfix is ready installing updates after 32 minutes.
Server without hotfix is still busy after > 99 minutes.
So i think i can safely conclude the hotfix makes a difference. I'll be deploying it asap.
One last question, are the exclusions mentioned above still necessary?
Re: Re: Could not configure the app. Restart Freedome and try again.
I am the admin on a business account and one of my users is getting this error when trying to click "on" in Freedome. The error is occurring on an Apple iPhone 6, running OS 12.1.2.
"Could not configure the app. Restart Freedome and try again."
I tried to access the chat function on this site and was told they couldnt help as it is a business account. Please can someone tell me how to resolve this issue.
I have tried uninstalling, revoking the user's licence and reinstalling a fresh copy but this does not seem to have an impact.

Re: F-Secure Computer Protection MacOS - scanning exclusions
Hi. No, unfortunetely there is no path exclusions in Mac products at the moment, there is even no magic internal file you can modify, however, as it one of the most requested (obviously) features, we will deal with it in the near future.
What about your case with VMWare, please, contact support, provide them fsdiag files and ask to mentione that that fsdiag is related to this topic.
Re: F-Secure Computer Protection MacOS - scanning exclusions
Oh, that's a witty idea. Indeed, fsavd process is being launched sandboxed and you can prevent it from scanning partcular pathes by denying sandbox access, but I have doubts it will fix performance issues as interception will still happen. But feel free to try, results could be very interesting ![]()
So, in order to deny access to a particular subpath, add following lines to /usr/local/f-secure/fsmac/sysconfig/fsavd.sb:
(deny file-read* (subpath "/Users/tester/Downloads"))
This will prevent Downloads folders of user tester from being scanned.
