F-Secure Policy Manager - How do I Block an Application?
Hi Guys,
So I have a small issue here. I want to block TeamViewer from running, but I'm not using the Application Control part of F-Secure. I was wonderring if there is a place where I can put in the path for the .exe file of TeamViewer and make sure it gets blocked.
I know I can go under DeppGuard and make an entry and put in the Hash value and then ask it to block the application. Unfortunately some of our users are local admin (don't blame me - I'm trying to get that closed as well), so lets say a new version of TeamViewer is available, the Hash will change and I will have to keep monitoring that.
Is that my only option or do you have any other suggestions?

Application control and DeepGuard would indeed be the places to do such block.
One alternative could be to block Teamviewer at firewall level.A quick search yield some "how to" article you could follow. That however might have some side effects so make sure that none will apply to other applications.

So you suggestion is: Either enable Application Control or Scan the .exe file - get the hash and block it that way though?

That would indeed be the best way to proceed.
