F-secure blocking DNS

Hi!

 

On what basis F-secure Client security and Server Security blocks DNS searches?

I mean I've spent couple of hours banging my head on the wall, trying to figure out why www.paypal.com does not resolve in our company. 

 

After I disabled f-secure (net stop fsgkhs) on client computers and dns servers, the searches started working. How do I disable DNS blocking on f-secure products? I mean this is idiotic.

 

Another site I came across that was dns-blocked by f-secure was www.kryptex.org

Sorry for my reply. I'm only F-Secure user (their home solutions).

 

By blocking DNS -> did you mean that page is not visible with any of supported browsers (by F-Secure);

Because with HTTPS and Microsoft Edge (or disabled F-Secure extension) -> page is not loaded (not clearly visible that website is blocked by F-Secure).

 

And, for example, with F-Secure home solution -> your second URL is harfmul-rated (under F-Secure Security Cloud).

 

OR your situation completely based on their Firewall deisgn?

if I only had f-secure support email address, I'd report false positive....

but as potential workarounds -> maybe possible to use F-Secure SAS:
