Message: No scanner engines loaded and enabled. Virus protection is disabled.
Hi All,
We get a few alerts from various machines with the following text in the body of emails '
Message: No scanner engines loaded and enabled. Virus protection is disabled'. The machines that report the error are Windows 7 and 10 wih Client Security 12.31. These are machines that haven't been upgraded recently and there doesn't seem to be a pattern.
I was wondering if anyone has come across this before?
Regards Al

Too many changes at the same time for too many modules. One or two reboots might be needed to get all the latest binaries in place.
(Usually when a binary gets replaced, the other modules are strong enough to take care of the protection, while the one module gets updated. If, after a long downtime, many modules need updates this does not work any more and the hint come up to warn the user about lowered protection and the need of a reboot.)
The message also cliams "if you see this message freqently inform your admin". So unless it happens every day to the same machine, just reboot (and ignore).
