IE11 suddenly crashes

Hi,

OS: Windows 7 and Windows 10

Application: IE11

F-secure client: F-secure Client Security Premium 13.10

Does anyone out there also experiencing problems with IE11 suddenly crashes? The last couple of days we've had some reports from our users that IE11 suddenly stops working. I can't really post the whole error-message from the log (since it is in swedish) but I will try to translate the most of it.

Error in application: IEEXPLORE:EXE, version 11.0.9600.19081, timestamp 0x5b2525ef
problem with module ols-adapter-x86.dll, version 14.50.120.0, timestamp 0x5a3400e1
Searchpath to program: C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
Searchpath to module: C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\Anti-Virus\ols-adapter-x86.dll

If we remove F-secure from the computer, internet explorer 11 is working just fine.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

Yes the hotfix worked for us. It turned out that the problem also existed on Windows 10 machines.

The hotfix is available on F-secures ftp server ftp://OLDEX:123@ftp.customer.f-secure.com/signed.7z

If you install this with IE11 opened you have to restart the browser before the changes will take affect

We are having the same issue was the hot fix released to everyone? Did the hot fix work for you?

F-secure just sent me a hotfix to deal with this problem. Will test it asap on some computers.

Upgraded to newer version but still the same problem. Looks like the problem exist in the "add-ons" for F-secure in Internet explorer 11. When turning "browsing protection" of as an add-on the problem dissappears (turned it off in IE11 and not in the F-sec client)

Probably should contact F-secure about this..

there is a good reason why there is a V13.11.110-v2.jar.

Please update and reproduce.
