Windows update through Fsecure is not working on certain ip

Hi experts,

 

The windows update has been configured through fsecure patch management .  But it is not working for few pcs , and once we change the ip adress of those pc it is working!   

All the enduser pcs are in the same subnet as 192.168.1.0 .  

 

firewall is fortinet and i couldnt see any policy related to this. 

 

So please advise how to resolve this .

Typically, the F-secure update engine should download and install the software update automatically if you have enabled the settings properly as below

 

In Policy Manager Console (Advanced View)
* Settings > F-Secure Software Updater > Settings > Automatic Installation > Install security updates automatically

In Profile Editor
* Software updater > Automatic installation > Install security updates automatically

 

In your situation, we doubt that you have yet to add the URL address listed in the following third-party KB article to make sure that the Software Updater database is updated properly in right manner. Click here to know more about URL address for F-secure Update Services.
