Scheduling defintition updates in Proxy Manager on Windows server
Hi,
our organization has an isolated network that runs F-secure Client Securty with Policy manager v 14.20.
Our server is connected to the internet on a scheduled basis to pull updates and is then disconnected again.
Previosuly we used the standalone downloadable update file to update Policy manager but now that this is no longer an option, is it possible to schedule Policy manager to pull updates in the timeframe that the server is connected to the internet? How is this done?
The server is connected by enabling/disabling the network connection that connects to the internet. This is done once a week always during nights.
What is best practice here?

Hi Hentiki,
Starting from version 13, PM downloads DB updates on demand. So, it will download only those updates, that are requested while PM is connected to the internet.
I’d suggest to switch Policy Manager Server to run in isolated mode and use archives to update malware definitions. To automate delivery, just synchronize fspm-definitions-update-tool runs with internet connection schedule.
You can find more details about fspm-definitions-update-tool at https://help.f-secure.com/product.html#business/policy-manager/14.20/en/task_957E20DBBA344DF3A8B1B703EA7A4F1D-14.20-enRegards,
