Error when installing exported MSI file fsss 14.00

Hello, 

 

I would like to update F-secure from fsess 12.12 to fsss 14.00 version. I try to install from exported MSI file but unfortunatelly installation stopped and I have error 1603 in Windows event viewer. I already installed on many other machines without any issue. Only one machine where instalaltion stuck. 

 

What may cause the mentioned problem?

Which server version do you have?
Some of the older servers you would need to install a newer C Runtime (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2999226/update-for-universal-c-runtime-in-windows) and the Windows Patch KB2999226 in the cases that I have seen.

Thank you for support. 

I try to install on Windows Server 2008R2. I know that 2008 is not supported but on 2008R2 should be OK. I have already installed on other 2008R2 servers. 

 

I will check updates.

Checked kpdate KB2999226 and I can confirm that is installed on my machine.

Have you checked C Runtime Environment as well?

If this issue still persists with the pre-requisites, I would recommend running an FSDiag and submitting it to F-Secure through a ticket for further investigation.
