Dear all,

If you are using our Mobile Security product on your Android devices, please read the information below. If you already have F-Secure Mobile Security 7.6.10637 or newer installed, then you can stop reading. The product version and build number can be checked by tapping the About button in F-Secure Mobile Security application.

Google has started to publish the new Android OS update and we are aware that Android 4.1 (Jellybean) will cause F-Secure Mobile Security client to crash. When the Android OS update is installed, F-Secure’s client application goes into boot loop. This makes the device extremely difficult to use until the application has been removed.

F-Secure has done the required fixes and the new build of F-Secure Mobile Security 7.6 is available on the download page: http://mobile.f-secure.com/business/downloads/trial/index.html. F-Secure will start channel updates for all corporate customers October 8th 2012. All the end user need to do is accept the update to be installed, when it is asked.

If you have received Android 4.1 update and experience F-Secure Mobile Security crash loop, please check this knowledge base article for instructions how to resolve the problem: http://community.f-secure.com/t5/Protection-Safe/Resolving-Android-Jelly-Bean/ta-p/15858

Best regards,

Dmitriy
