Installing PSB 9.30 with offline updates

When installing PSB, the installations (updates) sometimes takes forever. And if you have many installations it can be a problem. I have read somewhere that you can download the updates offline and install them to the pc before it goes to internet and check for new ones. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

My goal is to:

* Install PSB without the PC going to internet after updates

* Install updates from usb

* Have PSB check for changes in the updates and download the latest

Hi Tommy,

the easiest thing you can do is download the latest databases from here:

http://download.f-secure.com/latest/fsdbupdate9.exe

Now, after you install PSB Workstation you immediately (i.e. before reboot) run the fsdbupdate9.exe .

The fsdbupdate utility contains all databases (Antivirus, Spyware, Spam, Parental, etc). and should include all update up to the last 24 hours.

This will cut the bandwidth usage of a naked PSB installation by over 90%.

Remember to redownload the fsdbupdate9.exe continuously since it is renewed every day.
