Upgrade PM 10.01 to 10.10

We are running Policy Manager 10.01 in our environment and would like to upgrade to 10.10. Is the upgrade straight forward, in this case just run fspm-10.10-44982.exe? Will all configuration in PM still exists after the upgrade? What data is recommended to backup before i begin to upgrade? I would be pleased with any information.

Hello Empty,

 

In the PM10 all the data including policy domain structure, policies, installation packages and so on are stored in H2 database. In order to backup the data, please proceed with the following steps:

    Stop the Policy Manager Server service
    Backup the folder [F-Secure Installation Dir]\Management Server 5\data\h2db
    Start the Policy Manager Server service

Once the back up completed you can indeed just launch the Policy Manager 10.10 installer package.

 

In addition please note that Pm10.10 requires registration.
