I want to exclude the object C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Binn\SQLServr.exe from virus scanning

Will this entry work in F-Secure Policy Manager

*\\HarddiskVolume*\\Program Files\\Microsoft SQL Server*\\SQLServr.exe

Or can i also just use

*SQLServr.exe

    Hello,

    > I want to exclude ... SQLServr.exe from virus scanning?

Is that a good idea? I'd think the recent protection suites should be able to afford some defence to memory, as well and malicious SQL injections are not joke, they are a real risk!

    Thanks Tamas,

I agree but I want to temporarily test performance issues by just excluding sqlservr.exe from real time scanning...

    Sincerely

    Richard

    Hello Richard,

Yes, you can just use a file name to exclude the object from scanning.

    Best regards,

    Vad
