There is a new feature in Client Security 9.20:

- Database update check randomization

This feature is implemented as a setting in Policy Manager Console, Advanced mode, policy tab. Find "Download randomization window" setting under F-Secure -> F-Secure Automatic Update Agent -> Settings -> Communications. If randomisation window setting is nonzero, FSAUA should check database updates at startup with a random interval within the time window that the admin define in the policy. Max time you can set is 1 hour.

Random is a backup only if GUID can not be determined from Bios.

Each VM generate its own SMBIOS ID. if you delete the VM and create a new one that is as changing the hardware.

machines should not start at the same time. If they do, Automatic Update might cause an IO storm. latest FSAUA (in FSCS 9.20) can delay and randomize the start of fsaua.
