How to schedule scan only some folders on a single drive

Hello,

i have a MS Server 2003. On that machine there are some shared folders that should be scanned every day. How can i create a schedule scan that just scans those shared folders on a single drive (all on drive d:). And nothing else, specially not the whole filesystem and all attached drives?

    Hi,

why would you scan a folder every day when creation and use of the files is constantly monitored by F-Secure Gatekeeper. What do you expect to find that you would not find the next time you access theat file?

Manual scanning has three main disadvantages

    1) the detection rate is significatnt lower as you have no Deepguard (behaviour control/blocking)

    2) a waste of time and performance (green IT)

    3) gives you a false secure feeling

    Mathias,

I kindly disagree with your latest post. Occasional, even daily system scanning does make sense

Certain folders have tnedency of collecting garbage (including infections/malware which are not treated properly by F-Secure). I frequently see malware being detected and even claimed by Client Security as being quarantined, while is not.

IE and Java cache folders are the most common places where especially malware installers are dropped and never purged/disinfected/.....
