Outside user registration in MSG

Is it possible for a outside user to start the registration process without first receiving a secure mail sent through MSG?

 

This functionality is in Deltagon we currently use and it seems really a big inconvenience if the secure email communication must always be initiated by a user from inside the organization using MSG.

Yes it is.

 

In you profile you have a virtual path under the FQDN of your server:

e.g.

https://<yourserver>/<secure_reader_path>/

 

If a user visits this he's prompted for email. If the email does not exist, he's prompted to create one.

 

If you see the links in encrypted emails, they have exactly the above URL but with a parameter with the user's email (that's why you are not prompted to enter an email)
