    Hello mrfusion,

Basically if you "net stop fsma" which unloads f-secure services

then "net start fsma" which will start services back and F-Secure Update Agent should check database updates.

If you meant how to poll F-Secure Policy Manager Server from command line there is a fsmautil for that

Which can be found from F-Secure/common/fsmautil.exe where you have to use variable "poll"

    fsmautil poll

    Hello,

If the network functionality has completely broken down, it is possible to download a file called "fsdbupdate9.exe" somewhere else and transfer it on USB stick to the affected computer. That program can be run from the command line and it will update the F-Secure malware recognition databases.

The method is highly inefficient, as the file is about 200MB sized and should not be used in daily work, only in case of emergency.
