Software updater: installed update shown as not installed

Hello,

I am using PSB Workstation Security 10.00 in my organization. Sometimes some updates, although installed, are shown byt the software as not installed. If I request the update to be installed from the administrator portal, I get an "installError" message beside the update.

The current one is "Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office Could Allow Remote Code Execution (2885093)". On my own computer I checked that the update has installed, even tried to download and install manually, still F-Secure tells me that the update has not been installed.

This has happened before on some Microsoft updates, and it seems to clear out after some time, but in the mean time I can't get an accurate overall picture of update installation status from the admin portal because of this.

Any advice?

    Hello Jussip,

I assume you already tried to restart the machine reporting the issue?

In order to troubleshoot this issue further, you might want to open a support ticket, providing an fsdiag from the get-go.

    Thank you.

    Hi Ben,

Restarting the computer does not help. Neither does uninstalling the update and letting PSB Workstation Security install it. Still not detected as installed.

This issue affects XP and 7 computers, and multiple updates on both. The updates download fine, install fine, but afterwards are still shown by PSB as not installed, by Windows as installed.

I opened a support ticket on this issue.

    Hello jussip,

It is possible, that successful installation indicatiors are incorrect for this update(s) in Software Updater database. We'll fix them basing on support information collected from your hosts, and publish in the channel. So, you will receive the fix automatically. Please, note, that this process will take some time.

    Best regards,

    Vad

Is the problem actually fixed for other people? In my computers the problem is still very much there.

EDIT: As suggested, I submitted a new ticket to support.
