F-Secure Policy Manager (Linux) / F-Secure Client Security update process

Hello,

 

In case of  a new FSCS is installed on a computer, I would like to know what is the precise registration and update process of the client FSCS to a Policy Manager Server?

What is the type of request used for anti-virus updates, for strategy updates

 

I used Wireshark on the client computer (with new FSCS) to analyze this process. I saw the first request (Client -> Server) with a HTTP POST /8/MRQ

Hello Guillaume,

 

As soon as client installation is completed F-Secure Management Agent (FSMA) sends a registration request to PM. After that FSMA periodically communicates with PM to get new policies and provide statistics.

Automatic Update Agent (AUA) sends a request to PM about all available updates, and then downloads the updates configured for the client.

This two modules are communicating with PM separatly.
