Can't install Client Security via Policy Manager Console on local machine

Hello,

I have big problem. I try install client security on PC where PMC is working and i receive this error:

Host Name | Platform | Status message | Win32 error code

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LOCALHOST | Unknown | An attempt to start the installation failed. Unknown error. Access Denied. | 5

I have administrator privileges, and active remote access on firewall. Even when windows firewall is off i receive the same error. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Please, note, that installation of PM Server on client OS is not supported officially. Only installation of PM Console is supported.

florin, in your case partial success may indicate, that common module Uninstall wasn't updated because PM has a newer version. If that's the case your CS installation will work normally.

grzegżółka, I'm not sure that PM Console is guilty in your case. MSI installer should help, if there are any access/credentials/communication issues.

i have tre same problem from PM.

i export the MSI and i try to install. with MSI i receive the message :Unknown The Launcher service has reported an error. 0
Setup error: Partial Success. The installation of some products failed. (If you see this message frequently, please contact your administrator.)
(iLaunchr returned an error, but the description is not available)

Export pre-configured .MSI package from F-Secure Policy Manager Console and install that on the client(s) via local run or MS AD GPO based distribution.
