Hi,

we use the F-Secure in my enterprise and we have Lotus Notes for the mail client. We encouter a lot of problems with this mail client and it's very slow. After the uninstallation of f-secure Lotus Notes work very well.

Do you have some ideas for the configuration of F-secure to accelerate Lotus Notes ?

Thanks for your help

Sébastien

    Hi,

    What Version was installed where?

    Server

    Clienet (OS)

    F-Secure has no solution for Lotus Notes. If you encounter problems on the clinet it looks like a misconfiguration!

    Hi swathelet,

    I have moved this post to End-point Security board.

    Thanks.

    Add the file extension .NSF to the list of excluded file types. That stops the real-time scanner from constantly scanning the Notes databases.

    Edit:

    To explain: The Notes client accesses it's .NSF files constantly (the mail database, the address book, the bookmarks, all other open Notes applications), so excluding the .NSF file extension from the real-time scan should help. On Domino servers I would exclude the entire folder hierarchy where the Notes/Domino databases are located.

    You could also exclude the .NST extension, but those are Notes templates that are accessed much less frequently. Excluding this extension should not affect the system noticeably.

    @Jayson: please check if NSF and NST are checked at all by F-Secure, otherwise excluding these does not make sense!

    Hi,

    @Matthias:
    Both NSF and NST extensions is not included to scan in RTS by default, unless its configured to scan all file types.

    @swathelet:
    I would suggest you to open a Support Ticket for further investigation, kindly include Kindly attach a FSDIAG together with your ticket. This would allow us to understand better in your situation.

    Thanks.
