PM 11 and Server Security on the same server

In the release notes of the latest policy manager for Windows it's written that PM must be installed after the Server Security Antivirus because it includes an updated AUA agent. But if I'm installing a new server of a new customer, if I install Server Security before the PM how can I manage the first ?

    Hello,

Usually the rule is: the package published first is installed first and the package published later is installed second. However, F-Secure Policy Manager 11.10 (RTM) and F-Secure ESS 10.50 build 287 (RTM) were both released on 28-Nov-2013.

I don't think it is a problem to install FSPM first and them push FSAV ESS to the server computer itself or run the FSAV ESS installer in exe.

Anyhow, if you install FSAV ESS first in stanbdalone and then install FSPM, it should be possible to run the FSAV ESS installer again and use it to change the communications mode of FSMA module in FSAV ESS.

Please note: FSAV ESS is usually not wise to manage centrally when it is also used to protect Exchange servers! Rather use the local web GUI! For file and terminal servers only it is OK to place FSAV ESS under Policy Manager's centralized control.
