Problem with automatic updates when Server Security has been reinstalled in stand-alone mode

Hi!

My problem scenario is as follows:

I had previously in use the F-Secure Server Security 9.20 product which was centrally managed via our local PMS. I wanted to upgrade our product to F-Secure Server Security 10.50 and at the same time switch our configuration to a locally managed standalone configuration instead of using the PMS.

I upgraded the Server Security and everything seemed to go fine. The installation procedure asked whether I want to keep existing communication settings or replace them. I chose to replace and chose the locally managed stand-alone installation. The installation went through with no errors.

The problem is, the Server Security still tries to fetch the updates from our local PMS, even though it is installed in stand-alone mode. When I look at the automatic update settings on the Server Security web interfacé, I see that the "Channel name" is still PMS and the "Channel address" is our local PMS address, even though the software is in stand-alone mode. How can I change the Server Security to fetch updates directly from F-Secure? Now the automatic updates fail and the only way to update databases I've figured out has been to run manually the fsdbupdate9.exe tool.

I even tried uninstalling the Server Security and reinstalling it, but the problem still persists.

    Hello tonizzi,

To find out what exactly went wrong in your case, we need to investigate fsdiag collected by F-Secure Support tool on your server.

As a quick fix I would propose to uninstall the product using Uninstallation Tool (our support can provide it to you), and then install Server Security again.

    Best regards,

    Vad
