No change when assigned a new profile

Hi,

I have created a new profile on my F-secure portal with different parameters (change the firewall profile on normal, in analyses exclusion in real time I put "c:\windows" (just for testing) and software update desactivated), and when I assigned the profil on a PC test all changes are not appeared ! No modification of firewall profil (stay on "office") no exclusion in real-time analysis just the software update is disable.

I waited 2 hours, restart my computer but no change.

    Hello Synexia,

You mentioned creating the profile, modifying the settings in profile editor and assigning the profile.

But did you remember to publish after all the changes were made?

It is the second button from the left at the top of the profile editor(a sheet of paper,a green arrow and a display).

Is the PSB client having the correct profile(the one assigned to it)? You can check it on the client  interface in the download section.

    Hello Synexia,

Was there any modification made by an administrator locally on that workstation?

To troubleshoot further your issue, you might want to open a support ticket.

    Thank you.

    Hi Ben,

I have tried this profil on other PC and it work fine !

I don't know why it doesn't work on the first PC... Maybe a problem with the administrator right (PC is on a domain, not the second) but my user is a local administrator and a simple user on the domain...  Smiley Frustrated

Thanks a lot for your help Ben.

    Hello Synexia,

I'd like to do a follow up on your issue. Are you still facing the same challenge?

Did you open a support case already?

To clarify my thought, I meant that maybe the user/admin of the workstation would have made local changes and therefore the profile would be modified locally.
