How would i push a change to the firewall settings to a select PC I am managing via psb portal. I would like to allow printer sharing through the firewall on one or two pcs without having to revert to remoting into the pc to make the change.
Hi,
open the profile editor, create a nee profile under "office", call it "Office LAN"
in that profile go to firewall settings, select "Office w printer/fileshareing" and lock that.
close the editor
choose the PC offering the share, mark it , select operations and assing the new profile.
If you have no Win-Server in the LAN you have to assign that to all PCs, otherwise they will have difficulties to negotiate the SMB-master. (There is a workaround, but that is a different story on google: "smb master").
