Hello

I bought ip camera for baby monitoring, but f-secure blocks it. It shows when I allow all traffic. How can I allow that camera safely? I know the IP of the camera and MAC, but the IP might change.

Help me

    Hi @tireple ,

I moved your post to home security as it seems you are using that kind of product.

Could you confirm the exact product and version you are using?

Do you know the protocol and ports used by your IP camera? Could you give us more information about this hardware?

I use F-Secure Client Security version 11.50 for win 8.1.

IP camera is D-Link DCS-932L Cloud Camera. I don't know the port. I know IP and mac. Maybe I can find the port somehow but how i put it to F-secure? I open port? May some intruder use the port or what. Can you help me with these information I gave.

    @tireple ,

As you are indeed using coporate product, I moved the thread where it belongs.

I found the folloing which might help you figure out the firewall settings needed :

    http://www.dlink.com/-/media/Consumer_Products/DCS/DCS%20932L/Manuals/DCS_932L_Manual_v_1_EN_UK.pdf

Also concerning F-secure firewall settings you can refer to the 2 following articles:

    http://community.f-secure.com/t5/End-point/Setting-firewall-rules-in-F/m-p/17020/highlight/true#M751
    http://community.f-secure.com/t5/Security-for-PC/How-do-I-create-a-firewall-rule/ta-p/16876

Services and ports will be different but the processus processus will be similar.

I should open port 80 but it does not work.

    "
Port Settings - Most ISPs do not open port 80 (a DCS-932L default video transfer port) for their residential customers, the DCS-932L has the ability to use a different port by changing the http port for its video streaming. Any unused ports can be used such as port 800, 801, etc. Remember that if the DCS-932L was behind a router, you would need to forward that port to the DCS-932L's IP Address. When accessing the camera, you would need to type the camera's IP Address and followed by the port number (for example http://192.168.0.20:800)."

I red that Ip cameras are hard to install but F-secure has make this even harder. I did not have any problems with windows firewall...,
