Can't turn F Secure Off

There is no "unload" button anywhere and nothing else to turn it off.It doesn't let me open some files i know are safe and it is getting quite annoying.I'm using F-secure for workstations.

    Dear Nick93,

     

    If you are using Anti-Virus for Workstation, you will need to right click on the blue F-secure tray icon and select "unload" but it must be allowed in PMS in FSMA-section "allow unloading for everyone".

     

    However, if you know the file you are opening is safe, you can actually exclude the file from the real-time scanning on PMS.

    I can't exclude  it, the moment i download it, it get deleted.Also i am kinda new to all this, so i have no idea what PMS and FSMA mean.

    Hi Nick93,

     

    My apology for the shortforms, PMS is Policy Manager Server and FSMA is F-Secure Management Agent.

     

    If you are working in a company eviroment, kindly contact your Network Administrator for assistance. If you are the Network Administrator, please follow the steps below to exclude the safe file:

     

    - Login to Policy Manager Console and Click View and choose advance view.

    - Under Policy, Click F-Secure Anti-Virus > Settings > Settings For Real-Time Protection > Scanning Options > File Scanning > Inclusions and Exclusions > Excluded Objects

    - Under Excluded Objects, click Add and you can add the file name which you want to exclude.

    Note: Tick Disallow user changes to make sure it works.

    This PC is my home pc.I got this anti virus when i got the pc build (2 weeks ago) and i haven't touched anything on it.I can't turn it off and/or do anything, it doesn't let me.

    We would like to inform that Anti-Virus for Workstation is a Coporate product and not for home users. However, we would like to check the product version which is installed, kindly right click on the F-Secure small icon on task bar and choose About. The first line will be the product name and version. Please update us with this info.

    I'll just delete it.The anti virus is great, but the ui needs more work in my opinion....

    Can we know what you have deleted? Do you mean you have uninstall Anti-Virus for Workstation product or the file?
