Hotfix for Policy Mger / Policy Mger for Linux - a new channel for spam scanning
Adding a new channel for spam scanning
F-Secure has published today a hotfix for Policy Manager and Policy Manager for Linux.
You need to add a new channel to support spam scanning on clients. They will switch to this channel on 24th August 2014 so please add this channel to Policy Manager / Policy Manager for Linux before this date. If this channel is not added, clients will not scan emails and content for spam.
Policy Manager 11.x and 10.x:
- Open the file "..\F-Secure\FSAUA\program\fsauarep.cfg" for editing.
- Add 'subscribe 0,ASPAM' to the end of the list.
- Save and close the file.
- Restart the FSAUA service.
Policy Manager for Linux 10.x and 9.x:
- Open the file ‘/etc/opt/f-secure/fspms/fspms-fsauasc.conf’ for editing.
- Add 'ASPAM=republish' to the end of the list.
- Save and close the file.
- Restart the FSAUA service.

Should this change be made on the policy manager server or on each client?

Or just update the Policy Manager, because in the last version of Policy Manager this line is already inserted. So if you are using Policy Manager 11.30 dont need make any change.

Hello DavidCES,
This Hotfix is meant only to be applied to the Policy Manager.
As Chu mentioned upgrading to the latest version is also an option.
