Management Agent problem

Hi, we have created on PM10 2 different groups, Servers and Workstation and we distributed CS 9.20 as an upgrade to the group Workstation. Now we have 2 servers that they need 20 minutes to start. At the end of this period we receive a message stating that FSMA could not install a package and, after this, the server is working correctly.

What can we do to remove this uncorrect upgrade assignement to these servers?

Thanks a lot for your help!

    Hi,

use the uninstallation toold from ftp.f-secure.com/support/tools/uitool.

    Read the doc carefully!!!

the install locally using the EXE and the Admin-key (export from PMC first).

No way. This is not a solution. In one of the 2 servers there is also the Management Console. I would have to backup everything, uninstall everything and then reinstall everything.

This means at list 30 minutes and 2/3 reboot for a server that cannot be stopped easily.

Where the installation request is written by the product? We cannot simply remove the request?

    Hi,

the server is a Windows 2003 fully patched with PM 10.00.36754 and F-Secure for Windows Servers 9.00 with all the HF.

As I told you before, inside the PM we created 2 groups, Servers and Workstation. Upgrading the Workstations from Client Security 9.11 to 9.20 only on the group Workstations we didn't expect any reaction on the Servers group, while 3 of our 6 servers are now in trouble restarting. I cannot make you a screenshot because to do this we have to restart the servers (at this moment impossible...); I'll try to give you the export of the alert in PM and the Windows error in Event Log:

Ack Severity Date/time Description Host/user Product
Acknowledged Error 01/12/11 12.22.20 NRB Not Found itmiserv12 (SYSTEM) F-Secure Management Agent

    Hi,

I suggest you create a support ticket so we can have a closer look at the settings. The fsdiag file from (at least) one of problematic servers should prove useful.

    Hi,

I created the following: [SR ID:1-484614054] monday, december the 5th.

I didn't upload the FSDiag. I will create it but, where will I send it?

    Bye

    Hi,

Just reply to the email sent by us and attach the file to the reply message. Alternatively, if the diag is too big for email, ftp upload can be used:

    ftp.f-secure.com/incoming (user: anonymous, passwor: <your email address>).

In latter case, rename the file from fsdiag.tar.gz to 1-484614054.tar.gz

    Hope this helps!
