F-Secure and DHL Easylog

Hi,

 

today we encountered this issue:

 

a pc runs DHL's locistic software easylog and the current version of fscs which is manged by our fspm.

Now since fscs is on that box, the easylog software works very slow. The app itself already is whitelisted in fspm. Now I think the problem is the ODBC Connection easylog uses to connect to its database on our easylog server. This still is in our local lan.

If I deactivate all the fscs services it works perfectly normal.

Is anything known about fscs slowing down ODBC Connections? Or even particulary easylog?

By default the Database uses 1433 TCP port to connect via ODBC.

 

Making a fast search in the Google, I found a post where a DHL user fixed his TCP communication port.

You can also specify the host address in the ODBC connection.

Open the corresponding ODBC DSN

Go to the tab Network.

enable checkbox TCP/IP

fill in: host=ipaddress : portnumber

 

(remove the space after ipaddress and remove space before portnumber) I need put a space because the reply transform : into emote icon.

 

Once you fixed the TCP port, just create a F-Secure firewall rule to release this connection.
