Problem w current update for PSB Workstation Security 10.50

PSB Workstation Security 10.10.  Windows 7 pro w XP

Has anyone had problems after downloading the latest update for PSB Workstation Security?   I am using PSB Workstation Security 10.10;  after downloading and installing the lastest update 10.50,  the software locked up and I can't use the PSB Workstation Security software and can't close the firewall.   Of coarse I can't use the (other) computer until I figure out the problem...help!

    Thank you for your feedback. Is your workstation running the latest Service pack?

     

    Do you mean that the user interface cannot be opened? Do you get a specific error message ?

    Are F-secure services running properly?

    Good morning,

    Because the F-Secure program locked up when installing the 10.50 update (PSB), I decided to try to uninstall and reinstall F-Secure (with admin).  During installation F-Secure indentified a “conflicting software” named SG1. Next it stated “The conflicting software was removed successfully. Please restart your computer to continue the installation.” Everything looks rosy.

    Upon reboot, the above stated process started all over again…”conflicting software”, “conflicting software removed”, restart your computer. It was caught up in a recycling pattern over and over again.

    I searched the machine for any file named SG1…no luck. I also looked for any antivirus, security programs or parts of without finding any. The internet indentifies the SG1 program as “Stargate1 (SG1)”. A game or movie?? I never do either.

    Any ideas how I can reinstall F-Secure PSB on this workstation?

    Hello Scuback,

     

    SG1 means corrupted installation of F-Secure product. Seems that built in PSB WKS sidegrade can't clean up your computer correctly. Please, try to run F-Secure uninstallation tool on your machine.

    If this procedure will not help, it is possible that manual registry cleaning is required. Please, contact support for instructions.
