How to configure PMS warnings - Software Updater databases are missing.
Hello,
I use PMS v 12 and FS Client security (not premium) on all WS. PMS notify me about missing Software Updater databases but I do not want to use software updater at all. How to configure PMS to stop sending this alert? Other PMS alerts are welcomed.

Hello Jachym,
Unfortunately there is no way to disable only one alert.

Hi,
I undestood you have alerts about missing Software Updater databases,is correct?
If is this case, your FSAUA can be missing software update signatures (FSAUA will download all type of signature, including Software Update, even you dont have the Software Update module).
My suggest is use FSAUA reset and test over PMS, this tool will reset all F-Secure databases and start download all dignatures, wait complete all downloads . After all download completed in PMS, do the same reset in a workstation, this machine will start get all signatures from PMS.
FSAUA Reset Tool: ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/support/tools/FSAUA-Reset/
Check if the alerts about missing software update database stoped.
At first, as you said dont have Premium, the F-Secure dont show any alert about Software Update, so I belive this alert is probabily a database error.

Hello,
I have ran the FSAUA reset tool on PMS and wait for downloading updates. I do not want to reset all hosts definition files because it is about 100 MB and this warning messsage is generated by PMS not by hosts. So, I think it is coherent to PMS not to hosts localy.
Maybe I should clarify that this warning I receive periodically by mail from PMS because I set my e-mail into PSPMS configuration (PMS - Tools - Server configuration - Server alerts)
Subject: Security alert from F-Secure Policy Manager
Body: Software Updater databases are missing.
