Hi

Today I installed F-Secure Client Security 12.00 Build 648, I noticed that I no longer can access my shared Folder from other computers withing the network unless I turn off the antivirus's Firewall. Is there a way I can enable file and printer sharing without turning off firewall?

    Hello aalabri,

You should create a Firewall rule to allow the following services in both direction for the IP-range of your network.

    *IGMP/Internet Group Management Protocol
*Windows file sharing and network printers
    *Windows network browsing
    *SMB over TCP/IP (TCP)
    *SMB over TCP/IP (UDP)

    Hello,

In the F-Secure Policy Manager 12 centralized management console, there is a pre-defined "Level 42 - Office with LAN" security level (ruleset) available for the FSCS's Internet Shield personal firewall.

However, you have to do THREE actions to use it. It is not enough to simply select it as default/active, because it also needs to be enabled for use among the various security levels, as the little tickbox is not filled by default. Then, distribute the policy.
