FSAV PSB WKS versus regular re-imaging.

Dear Sirs,

I have a question concerning the suitability of FSAV PSB for a potential customer in the educational sphere:

There are 30 desktop computers to protect. However, these computers are wiped and re-imaged usually every three weeks and not rarer than monthly, due to the requirement of preventing cheats during computerized exams.

This situation prompts two questions:

- Can the PSB client and cloud system tolerate the resulting frequent licence/activation changes?

 

- Is it possible to embed the FSAV PSB workstation in a ready-to-restore HDD image the same it can be done with FSAVCS?

I see no problem in here. Depending on how the re-imaging software works, you might need to use the "Remove computer" and "Clear list of removed computers" operations to get the computer to show up in PSB portal correctly after the restoring.

I haven't really tried it but I don't see a problem. With "FSMAUTIL resetuid randomguid" command it is possible to re-create the ID the computer uses to communicate with the backend and after that it will just always show up as new computer in PSB portal.
