Software Updater does not show / update installed version of dropbox

FS Documentation shows Dropbox 3.8.5 Gold as latest version do be updated but most clients have a version > 6.x or 7.x . so there are no updates visible  / installed .

Any solution to update also this "newer" versions ?

    Please open a support ticket so that we can investigate what is happening on the clients that don't receive the latest version.

    Hello,

     

    Apparently the latest Dropbox stable release is 3.12.6  as of late December 2015. This probably means that clients do not display the major version number 3 in the end user interafece, therefore a client showing version > 6.x or 7.x actually means 3.6x. or 3.7.x, which is even lower (older) than the Dropbox 3.8.5 Gold you qouted.

     

    F-Secure Premium Edition's Software Updater module is based on licenced Shavlik technology and their website shows "QDROPBOX3126 - Dropbox 3.12.6" is supported in Shavlik Patch Plugin, whatever that means?
