Hi, ist it recommendet so enable scan in archives. After enabling this setting i get warnings like

"scanning java\.... was aborted due to exceeded scanning time limit"

For example wenn updateing java.

As we have on access scan enabled it sould also detect a virus even if scan in archives is not enabled.

I would like to hear the best practice setting.

Thank you.

Regards

    No recommondations?

    Does this make sense?

    - exclude java progamm directory or

    - scan archives is not needed as the on access scan would detect the virus when the archive is opened?

    Hello Olivetti,

Scanning archive in real-time can in practice be demanding for some systems and result in the errors you observed. The real-time scanning should also detect any wrong doing on extraction of the archive.

Exclusions are not recommended and never the optimal solution. They should only be used temporarily or as last resort.

In order to provide better instructions please open a support ticket so we can review your configuration and the system on which the error occurs.
