event id 103: An unhandled exception occurred in FSAVMSED

Hi,

 

since yesterday I see several events (event id 103, source "F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange") in the Windows eventlog:

 

"2016-03-03 17:06:26+01:00 mailserver SYSTEM F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange An unhandled exception occurred in FSAVMSED invalid_parameter_handler() was called due to 'InvalidArgument'."

 

We are running F-Secure E-mail and Server Security 11.01.157 on Windows 2008 with Exchange 2007SP3. Installed fixes for F-Secure: HF01, HF03, HF04, UpdateAgent 836.01 and ManagementAgent 150.100.

 

I have observed the same message on a fresh installation of Windows 2012R2 with Exchange 2013CU11, but only once so far. This new server receives almost no messages which could explain this single event.

 

Has anyone else seen this?

What is the reason for this unhandled exception?

Is there a fix for this problem?

Hi,

 

several days ago I received a new version of the file fsavmsed.exe (v10.0.467).  from F-Secure support. After copying the file into place (first saving the original...) and restarting the FSAVMSED service I have not observed the event about the "unhandled exception occurred in FSAVMED" anymore.

As far as I am concerned, this fixed the problem
