Hello everyone,

Is there a way to change the management server hostname/IP configured in Client Security?

Maybe a script? Registry key? Configuration file? Command prompt?

Thank you in advance

    Hi Vad,

    Thank you for your reply.

Couldn't find anything useful in the link, the aim here is just see if there is a way to change the Management Server IP or hostname configured on a client acting with a script, changing a config file or registry key.

    Thank you

  • Hi,

that is not possible. Two options:

    1. Setup a new policy server and import the database and key from the old one. Change the policy on both servers and let it point to the  new server
    2. Setup a new policy server and install the clients via push installation over the existing installation.

BTW - Siltanen's post shows perfectly what one have to do ...

How many clients you need to change? BTW - in my opinion it is best to use full qualified domain names instead of ip addresses. It comes much more handy when you have to change something.
