Where the Web User Interface is the ability to set the size of the logs, overwriting or frequency of writing messages?

On a server in the " C: \ Program Files (x86) \ F-Secure \ Web User Interface  \ bin \ fswebuid.log" over and over again, every 10 seconds. recorded message:
138C 1 16/06/10 7:32:37 597E31F2 service_ctrl ()
138C 1 16/06/10 7:32:37 597E31F2 SERVICE_CONTROL_INTERROGATE
138C 1 16/06/10 7:32:37 597E31F2 Report status to SCM: NO_ERROR

Log had 1.6 GB !!!

  • Strange ... I've checked several of my servers ...

Server Security 11.01 Standard and Premium - no server has any log file in the bin folder.

Only in the log folder is an access.log with a few kB.

Perhaps you deinstall the server security - cleam up the folders and the registry and reinstall it again. Also install the  necessary hotfixes for the product. I've installed F-Secure on more that 150 servers in April and never experienced something like that you have said ...

    best regards

    Hello Harrys16,

I can suggest turning off logging of INFO severity, which can be done by editing the regidtry. To do so
    1. Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Data Fellows\F-Secure\Web User Interface\Debug\fswebuid node
    2. Locate (or create, if there's none) DebugSeverity DWORD value
    3. Specify value 3
    4. Restart the service

    Best regards,

    Vad
