Looking for FSPM v.12.00 to v.12.21 upgrade guidelines

Hello all,

After reading trough the forums, i've noticed a few people having issues during an upgrade from fspm 12.00 to fspm 12.21. I've downloaded the fspm 12.20 admin guide and it gives clear instructions on how to install the software from scratch, but it does not mention upgrading from a previous version.

Is there a guide available you could point me to that contains some sort of pre upgrade checklist and clear to follow instructions? I would very much like to avoid any issues.

do not start with PMP2.11 today. Instead use PM12.31 im Proxy Mode.
PMP2.11 has EoL 6. Sep.2017.

Hello MJ,

Thank you very much for your reply. I suspected it was that simple, but I just wanted to be sure.

Can I assume this is the same for the proxy's? I downloaded FSPMP 2.11 as an .exe and .jar. Do I just run the setup on the machine, or do I have to distribute the .jar to the off-site machine via the Policy manager?

I've read that i do not really need to upgrade the proxy, that it should work as is, even if I upgrade the Policy Manager. Is this correct?

Run the setup

in case you have no backup of the database you might want to create one first:

Stop FSPMS service (NET STOP FSMS
make a Backup of the file c:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\Management Server 5\data\h2db\fspms.h2.db
restart the service (NET START FSMS)

That's it.
