Push Install to Windows Home hosts...

Aquaflow just purchased another company and the PCs in their 3 branches have the Home version of Windows - a mixture of 7 and 10.  I will be upgrading them to 10 Pro, but I need to get F-Secure client premium on them as soon as can as some have expired A/V products on them.

I am pushing to the systems IP and have created a local administrator account on each and am trying to use this account to do the push, but I get Win32 error code of 53.

Any ideas much appriciated.

    Hi,
in CMD: "Net helpmsg 53" will result in Path not found.

Try to connect the needed path with "net use * \\machine\admin$" using the newly created local admin accounts.

Unless that works, F-Secure will also fail.

most likely Windows firewall or the old products installed block remote access to that path and the subsequent RPC-call.

You better export an MSI and have that remotely executed for your own convenience. Uninstall the old produtcs first.
