I'm using F-Secure Client Security Premium 11 on updated Windows Embedded POSReady 2009, it show me missing one critical and seven important security updates.

May I add that you should start updating F-Secure first.

    Hello,

    > I'm using F-Secure Client Security Premium 11 on updated Windows Embedded POSReady 2009

The "Windows Embedded POSReady 2009" platform is a special version of Windows XP SP3, but F-Secure Corp. officially ended support for the Windows XP kernel in February 2017!

The last edition to support WinXP was FSAV WKS / FSAV CS version 11.61, but it has been discontinued. I don't think virus definition signature updates are released for it any more. (The current protection version is 12.31)

Therefore, you should upgrade the operating system or if that option is absolutely unworkable, possibly use a different brand of anti-virus on your remaining WEPOS 2009 computers. There are some vendors who still support WinXP, but they may abandon it next year or so, because it is becoming very difficult to support such an old, 16 year old operating system kernel any more. Your best bet is to modernize the OS and HW platform and then run up-to-date protection software versions on it.

    Hello,

It is possible that Microsoft still supports some Windows XP derived specials OSes, but F-Secure's antivirus products no longer support the Windows XP kernel!

The last F-Secure protection suite to run on the Windows XP kernel was "FSAV Client Security / Workstation Security 11.61" and that version was discontinued on 9th Feb 2017. The current F-Secure version 12.x branch no longer installs on Windows XP kernel.

I recommend to replace the OS with a more modern Windows 7/8/10 derived embedded system or if that is not possible, than you could check if other AV exists, which still supports WinXP. It is possible that F-Secure virus recognition signature databases will stop loading in the already unsupported FSAV version 10.x / 11.x products some time in the not so distant future, leaving you without efficient protection.
