Hello james26318,
By default virus definitions are updating automatically from Policy Manager server/PSB portal or F-Secure backweb server.
If your server doesn't have connection to the Internet, you can use fsdbupdate tool: https://www.f-secure.com/en_GB/web/home_gb/support-tools
