We would like to inform you that the Endpoint Protection API is being deprecated.
With the release of List missing software updates, all functionalities of the Endpoint Protection API are now available in the Elements API. The only exception are the subscription endpoints, which are available in the Provisioning API (only for partners). We will soon remove the ability to create API keys for the Endpoint Protection API.
Please note that the Endpoint Protection API is reaching its end of life, with the exception of the subscription and software update endpoints, which will still be supported until the 11th of March, 2024, and the 2nd of May, 2024, respectively.
We strongly advise against using the end of life API, as the data returned may not be accurate.
We encourage you to migrate to the Elements API, a superior API designed with user needs in mind. In addition to catering for traditional Endpoint Protection use cases, it also serves Endpoint Detection and Response use cases such as managing EDR incidents from a SOAR. It is a two-way API supporting many response actions.
Please also ensure that any Elements Connector does not use old endpoint protection API credentials. This can be checked from the Elements Security Center, in the device view connector section, column “legacy API is used"
