Client Security 15.10 Software updater running at 25% CPU for long time everyday

Hi we are having the same issue. I upgraded to 15.10 more than a week ago but the CPU and fan problem only started last week. 20 minutes is quite al long time, listening to a fan going wild.
Moving to a new technology provider for updates : does that mean Ivanti is not the provider for this anymore?
Before this I never noticed the 90% CPU usage at startup. Can we expect any improvement on this situation soon?
Kind regards,
Klaas

Hi,
Please contact support with the diagnostic information from the affected client machine to check the scenario. Please provide this information to support, and we will investigate further. We can provide a hotfix which updates Software updater binaries to fresh versions and set the low priority mode.

Same issue here, every system start task "F-Secure Softwareupdate" @ CPU 12,5-14% / battery usage: high takes about 15 minutes.

Hi,
The proper approach is to set Software updater automatic installation to non-working hours. With "Scanning priority", you can select a background priority for software updater scanning task.
We have released the new Client Security version 15.11. It has fresh versions of Software Updater binaries and sets the mode to "Low priority". You can download the latest version from below url:

Issue has been around for years, same issue is observed on most asset management systems that poll for the installed software. Usually those polls are scheduled a few minutes after boot to get the current situation and take all performance a single core can provide, also eats a lot of battery. Performance is abysmal on dualcore laptops. But based on CPU utilization you are running 8 threaded system.
