SoftwareUpdater ask to reboot after each update

Hi,

On some clients, Software Updater requires the computer to be restarted after each update.
To make the story short: 10 software to update = 10 reboots

My PMS (v.16.03) Software Updater settings are set up in such a way that user can choose to restart or delay the reboot, I don't want to force it.
I had a similar problem in the past and I had to add exclusion for some software (Firefox and Thunderbird for instance) but this is not a good solution for me.

Is there a way to fix this or to avoid restarting for instance?

Thanks !

    Hi @SecurMander ,

    Thank you for contacting WithSecure.

For Client Security , if you set Restart after installation as Ask user, the end-user can postpone the reboot requests indefinitely. There will be no deadline when the computer is forced to restart.

The Force restart in setting will not be applied at all when Ask user is selected.

If you set Restart after installation as Force restart, the administrator can then select the maximum allowed time for how long the end-user can postpone the forced restart with the Force restart in setting.

Before reaching the maximum allowed time, the end-user can postpone the reboot requests. When the maximum allowed time has been reached, the computer will be forcefully rebooted.
